Who We Are
Specialists in one discipline, delivered properly
FD Fire Safety Compliance was established in 2014 as a specialist passive fire protection contractor. We do not present ourselves as a general builder that also carries out fire stopping. Passive fire protection is the whole of our business.
We work for main contractors, developers, housing associations, local authorities, healthcare organisations and property owners, delivering survey, installation and remediation packages in both new build and occupied environments.
Our certified teams identify, install, inspect and remediate passive fire protection systems, and record what has been done in a form that supports the building's fire safety information. That record is often as important to the client as the installation itself.
Our core discipline remains passive fire protection. Alongside it we now deliver active fire protection, covering fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers, and specialist resin flooring. These are related site disciplines that clients regularly need on the same building, and holding them under one contractor removes the interface gaps where responsibility is usually lost.
Where we are engaged early, we can advise on system selection, buildability and sequencing before the scope hardens. That usually produces better technical outcomes and fewer variations than being brought in once services are already installed.

Our teams work from fire strategies, specifications and manufacturer field of application data. Where an arrangement falls outside a tested scope we raise it rather than improvise.

Inspection, photographic records and location referencing are built into delivery, not added at the end. Our ISO 9001 system defines how that work is controlled.

A large proportion of our work comes from repeat clients and framework arrangements. Continuity of contact, from estimating through to handover, is deliberate.

We work with established system manufacturers and material suppliers so that specification advice, availability and technical support are consistent from project to project.
